Norm & Elaine Brodsky, Sherry James, Mike Harper, Bruce Howard
Norm Brodsky of CitiStorage came to his first Gathering of Games ten years ago, and his wife, Elaine, the company's vice president of human resources, joined him at Gathering V in 1997. On their return, they set up CitiStorage's first mini-game built around achieving important milestones in the growth of the business. Since then, they've introduced other mini-games, expanded benefits, and implemented various empowerment programs, making CitiStorage one of the best places to work in the country-or so they believe. But has it really worked? What kind of cultural change, if any, have these initiatives produced? In this-session, you'll hear from three CitiStorage employees who've been there through it all, played the games, and watched the whole effort unfold. They'll talk about the successes-and the failures-as experienced on the front lines.
Our Speakers: Elaine Brodsky is co-owner and vice-president of CitiStorage, located in Brooklyn, NY, a columnist for Inc.com and a "Small Giant" - and proud of it. She will be joined by her associates: Sherry James, Accounting Manager; Mike Harper, Account Services Manager; and Bruce Howard, File Operations Manager, for an honest discussion. Norm Brodsky, founder of CitiStorage and author of the popular Street Smarts column in Inc., will sit quietly and not say a word until the very end, when he may be allowed I contribute his two cents as well. www.citistorage.com |
