How do we build organizational capacity for
improvement? One key component is developing
Improvement Advisor (IA) expertise and experience
within the organization. IAs help identify, plan, and
execute improvement projects throughout the
organization; deliver successful results; and spread
changes throughout the entire system. This session will
provide a brief overview of the essential skill set for
IAs, provide information on a variety of development
pathways and resources, share success stories, and
engage participants in building additional IA
consultation skills.
After this presentation you will be able to:
- Identify the core skills necessary to become an Improvement Advisor and ways to develop these skills.
- Describe the applicable skills and tools that will help others sharply focus an improvement project.
