This session will give a summary of the three-year
experience of IHI's IMPACT Innovation Community on
Reducing Hospital Mortality Rates, which focuses on
improving the system factors that contribute to
mortality, and for which medical evidence already
exists. Key change ideas that hospitals have used to
decrease mortality will be discussed, including specific
learnings and challenges from Owensboro Medical
Health System.
