This session will focus on the current state of nursing
practice, the imperatives for the future and successful
(some dramatic!) strategies that have been used to
close the gap. Successful approaches for dealing with
nursing and clinical issues will be described, including
St. Mary’s Baldrige winning strategies and VHA’s
100,000 Lives Campaign and other high impact
activities affecting nursing.
After this presentation you will be able to:
- Identify quality, financial, and workforce indicators that impact nursing.
- Describe successful change strategies for closing the gap between the present state and future state of nursing.
