This session will explore how the use of triggers to
detect adverse events has proven a useful measurement
over time in many hospitals. A variety of trigger tools
exist, including the new Global Trigger Tool. The
background and methodology for the trigger approach
will be described, including the measurement to be
tracked and specific lists of triggers.
