Have you ever had a big job to tackle and didn't know
where to start? Stuck with a problem that seems
unsolvable? This session will introduce four models that
have proven to be useful in a wide range of settings and
situations. A population framework, a care model, the Model
for Improvement, and a problem-solving method will be
described. Examples of how these models have been used,
from improving health care quality in large health care
systems to interactions between professionals and
individuals seeking care, will be shared.
After this presentation you will be able to:
- Describe elements of a population framework, a care model, the Model for Improvement, and a problem solving method.
- Discuss how these models can be used to improve health care quality, from individual interactions to populations.
