The session focuses on both the big picture and the
details necessary to make transformation in health care
systems come alive. All-or-none composite measures
stimulate the development and adoption of system
improvements called for in the IOM report. This session
will explain how to use all-or-none composite measures
across an integrated care system to improve patient care
and accelerate improvement.
After this presentation you will be able to:
- Discuss the use of all-or-none composite measures to focus system improvement on high impact changes.
- Describe nested reporting at multiple levels, including provider group, individual physician, and individual patient.
- Explain how the electronic medical record can be used to provide decision support at the point of care and regularly report full population measurement.
- Define how internal and external pay for performance can be designed using all-or-none composite care measures.
