This session will describe the participation of one third of all Internal Medicine Residents in Continuity Clinic experiences within the VA. In the past years the VA had introduced and implemented Advanced Clinic Access principles in many outpatient clinical areas. Integration of these principles into the practice and education of resident physicians provides a unique learning opportunity to observe therelationships between access, quality, and outcomes.

- Implement Advanced Clinic Access principles in Primary Care Resident Continuity Clinics.
- Demonstrate the use of Advanced Clinic Access principles to satisfy ACGME Core Competencies.
- Describe the relationship of access to quality measurement in Resident Continuity Clinics.
