Knowledge and understanding of alternate career avenues can bring diversity to the architecture profession. This program brings together a panel of diverse design professionals engaged in various nontraditional roles to discuss their experiences and perspectives. The roundtable format will foster the discussion, which will include reasons to pursue nontraditional pathways, the road to alternative careers, as well as ways in which the profession and the AIA can support and promote alternate choices.
Learning objectives:
- Discuss why and how to support all aspects of diversity in the profession
- Examine how an architecture background can benefit a multitude of careers
- Implement ways to support, promote, and adopt alternative career paths.
