Learning objectives:
- Review trends and directions of designs for aging and discuss the wide variety of facility types
- Determine the important physical, psychological, and cultural issues that affect the elderly and how those issues can be addressed through appropriate design
- Access facility designs for the aging determined to be exemplary by a jury and which enhance the quality of life, maintain community connection, and celebrate the aging process.
