The future of architecture is evolving beyond design to a greater emphasis on business. The key success factors are not necessarily new; however, they must be re-evaluated and even re-engineered to adapt to a more dynamic internal and external environment. With a decrease in workforce over the next two decades, shifting economies, demand in the built environment, an eroding infrastructure, and advances in technology, firms must restructure their business practices to provide excellent design.
Learning objectives:
- Identify the internal and external key success business factors and how they should be considered
- Discuss each of the factors and the impact of these factors on the firm-determining the gap between today's reality and tomorrow's vision
- Propose various methodologies to aid in attaining realistic and measurable goals.
