Openings are architecturally interesting and technologically challenging. Using recent project examples, we’ll discuss how to make openings beautiful, functional, and weathertight; the aesthetic and technical challenges of accessibility; and the range of innovative door materials, from hangar doors to sliding glass exterior walls.
Learning objectives:
- Design and detail door systems that are weathertight, while gaining a broader knowledge of innovative entry details
- Review details that improve accessibility and safety
- Examine a range of door and opening materials and techniques.
