Feng Shui has emerged from the new age section of the book store as more clients ask to incorporate concepts from this 4,000-year-old Chinese discipline into the design of their single- and multifamily homes. We’ll discuss how residential site selection, site planning, landscaping, floor plan layout, construction details, and furniture configuration can benefit from applying cross-cultural Feng Shui principles that reinforce (not replace) design ideas.
Learning objectives:
- Apply Feng Shui principles to identify basic psychological effects residential space has on occupants
- Analyze common Feng Shui problems in single-family and multifamily residences and identify solutions using Feng Shui principles
- Discuss the benefits and issues involving Feng Shui principles and environmental psychology.
