Despite major investment in new technology, surveys show that most finance managers are working harder then ever and suffering from increasing levels of stress. Surveys also show that operating managers are more dissatisfied with the service they receive from their finance colleagues. While some of these pressures have come from regulatory bodies, one of the main problems faced by finance managers is the inability to break free from detail and complexity, including huge amounts of non-value-adding work. This makes it difficult to provide their business colleagues with the information they need when they need it. This workshop will show you how to overcome these barriers and create a leaner and more efficient finance organization which is a valued business partner to all others in the organization. The material in this workshop is based on interviews with many of the world’s most notable and high-profile CFO’s and is based on materials used in writing Reinventing the CFO which was published by the Harvard Business School Press in 2006. |
