This session presents both a review of basic state compliance
requirements for charities and fundraisers and
an update on matters of particular concern to state
regulators. Issues of accountability, the application of
Sarbanes Oxley to charitable goverance, the reporting
of special events, conflicts of interest, and Internet
fundraising will be addressed. Also up for discussion are
recent enforcement actions by state attorneys general.
Bring your questions for a discussion with AFP’s special
counsel on state regulatory affairs and with one of the
most respected state charity officers in the country.
