Many of the nonprofits that have embraced social networking
are themselves run by people in their 20s and
30s, who already spend a good portion of their lives
online. This session will explore the various social networking
sites that exist, how people use them and how
fundraisers can take advantage of them. Hear practical
tips that would be useful in your marketing plans and examples of where fundraising has been successful (for
example, sixdegrees.org has raised over $1 million the
first year). The panel will look at sites such as Facebook
and Myspace.
