D7/E7: Centering: A Model for Group Health Care

Shared medical appointments are growing in popularity. Centering models of pregnancy and parenting have unique features and benefits, as compared to other common group visit models. Continuity of care lasts into the postpartum period and includes well‐child care. This session describes how Centering models are being expanded to include comprehensive care for all stages of the lifecycle and can complement current shared medical appointment knowledge.
After this presentation you will be able to:

  1. Contrast Centering group care models to other group models and traditional care.
  2. Describe how Centering models are being used to include comprehensive care and complement shared medical appointment knowledge.
