In 1985 W.E. Deming admonished us to “institute leadership.” “The aim of supervision,” he wrote, “should
be to help people and machines and gadgets to do a better job.” This session will add to the longāstanding
conversations about instituting leadership to help create a positive workforce environment. Through
discussion, dialogue, inquiry, and examples of success, we will specifically focus on the use of employee
experience data and feedback to guide improvement.
After this presentation you will be able to:
- Identify two reasons why we need to transform the workforce environment.
- Give an example of using qualitative and quantitative data to identify changes.
- List two key factors to improve the workforce environment.
