This session emphasizes the importance of hospitality in the ambulatory setting and discusses how to
develop a culture where initiative and flexibility are valued. Both small changes and large projects that
have led to success will be reviewed.
After this presentation you will be able to:
- Identify small, practical changes that can be made in office practices to provide a patient‐ and parentfocused
care experience.
- Discuss how technology can be used to transform pediatric health care delivery.
- Describe the key cultural elements necessary to implement patient‐ and parent‐focused initiatives in
a pediatric subspecialty academic practice.
