An increasing number of jobs require the higher level
knowledge and skills associated with a baccalaureate
degree. Employers concerned that they may not have
the employees needed to fill the demands of knowledge-
driven economy jobs are investing in the development
of the talent already in their workforce. Meanwhile,
university CE units are responding to regional
economic development needs and organizations’
succession challenges with new customized, accessible
baccalaureate degree completion programs for
working adults. Session panelists will discuss effective
program formats, curricular trends, quality assurance
practices, and return on investment. Also, the survey
findings from a related UCEA Lumina Foundation-supported
project will be reviewed during the session. |
