Sustainable development in the context of global
climate change is clearly one of the most important
social engagement issues of our time—calling upon
university resources and expertise in a wide array
of disciplines. Continuing education programs—creative,
adaptive and interdisciplinary—add substantial
value to the capacity of decision makers
in many fields to address these challenging issues.
Speakers will present ideas from “green and sustainable”
programs for planners, emergency managers,
architects, engineers, ecologists, builders and
construction managers. |
