GARY BROWN, Washington State University
Colleges and universities are coming under increasing pressure
to improve how they demonstrate that their students are succeeding academically. Accreditation agencies are providing
much of this impetus to assess student learning beyond a
simple course grade. Individual faculty members and administrators
have adopted diverse approaches in their efforts to enhance
their measurement of student learning. This session will
examine various initiatives, such as E-portfolios, and explore the
benefits, limitations, and policy concerns associated with each. |
