D2B: The Alliance for Quality was developed to make currently extraordinary performance ordinary by providing hospitals with evidence-based strategies and supporting tools to reduce their door-to-balloon (D2B) times. Participants will learn about the key evidence-based strategies and teamwork necessary to significantly reduce D2B times; how the D2B initiative was rolled out nationally, in Michigan and Virginia, and at individual hospitals; and how D2B participation can earn ABIMMOC-4 points and CME or CE credits.
After this presentation you will be able to:
- Describe the key evidence-based strategies linked to significantly reducing D2B times and the teamwork that drives success.
- Identify how cardiologists and nurses can work together to lower D2B times.
- Explain how this initiative was rolled out nationally, at the state level with experiences in Michigan and Virginia, and at the individual hospital level.
