This session will discuss reasonable accommodations that schools can and need to make in order for a child with Spina Bifida to successfully participate in their physical education classes. Common PE units will be broken down and adaptations for kids of all ability levels will be discussed. Simple rule or equipment modifications will also be suggested. The session will also touch on the importance of physical activity, recreation, and sport in the lives of children with physical disabilities. |
