Wednesday Celebration Luncheon

We all have moments in life when we ask ourselves: “Isn’t there any good news?”

Patrick Price and his father, Scott, are pleased to confirm that yes, there is a vast reservoir of goodwill in people’s hearts all across America. Serving as keynote speakers for SBA’s Annual Celebration Luncheon, father and son will recount their inspiring cross-country adventure seeking out goodwill which is featured in their book Looking for Goodwill.

The authors will share the details of their decision to take a year off to travel to every state in the country and talk with everyday people about their lives. Their encounters with this melting pot of individuals reflected the best qualities in life – friendliness, trust, optimism, and an inherent desire to encourage others.

The pair gave each and every person they interviewed a $10 bill and an envelope with the simple instructions, “Do something good for yourself, your family, or your community.” At the Celebration Luncheon, they will share some of the inspiring stories that reflect the impact these randomly distributed $10 gifts had, based on the letters they have received.

Both Patrick, an adult with Spina Bifida, and his dad are passionately dedicated to the Spina Bifida Community and have committed a portion of the proceeds of their book to the Spina Bifida Foundation. Patrick is pursuing his graduate studies in Business and serves as an advocate for Spina Bifida spending time on Capitol Hill educating Congressional members about the needs of individuals with this birth defect. He is also a three-time National Junior Wheelchair Games weight lifting champion. Scott Price serves on the Board of Directors of the Spina Bifida Foundation.
