NAMI leaders from three states — Ohio, Utah, and Pennsylvania — will share advocacy strategies that have made a positive difference in their state’s mental health and Medicaid systems. Three different strategies will be introduced as ways for NAMI members to proactively influence the debate on issues such as medication, managed care, and outcomes measurement. The presentations will be paired with NAMI National’s fact sheet, “Spending Money in All the Right Places,” which provides an overview of the various advocacy strategies.
