3-C: Mood Disorders in African Americans: Pulling Together the Community and Academia

Ethnic minorities are underserved in the diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders. Moreover, there is little evidence-based research to guide the development and implementation of treatments for mood disorders in this population. This workshop will address the problem of recruiting African Americans for multi-site trials in mood research. First-person accounts and the role of historically black colleges will be featured.
