Serious mental illness affects the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender) community, their families, and supporters in ways all NAMI members can understand. The issue is often one of severity: suicide rates among GLBT youth, a double dose of stigma, cultural competence in mental health treatment, and more. This informal session offers open discussion and networking for those interested in mental health issues with the GLBT community. All are welcome.
