Exciting things are happening at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). Researchers at the National Institutes of Health campus in Bethesda, Maryland, as well as extramural researchers working in laboratories and academic centers around the country, are developing new knowledge that will lead to better treatment for people with mental illnesses and people with substance abuse disorders. NAMI is honored to have the directors of NIMH and NIDA to share with us new research that is pointing the way to hope.
