Panelists will discuss the AIA150 anniversary publication, Celebrating the Past, Designing the Future, reflecting on the diversity of perspectives explored in the book.

• Identify the skill sets that have been historically required and those that are newly required for successful practice from the perspectives of urban design and sustainable design
• Discuss how practitioners can cultivate leadership through design and how to apply these skills within one's own practice
• Develop a familiarity with community engagement as a model of practice in the 21stcentury
