    Desi Williamson, a YMCA member as a young adult, beat the odds. Despite growing up in a world surrounded by poverty, drugs and violence, he overcame a myriad of obstacles to realize his dreams of becoming a successful businessman, professional speaker and author. Desi’s dynamic presentation style will inspire you to rediscover the power within you, reconnect with your own mission and continuously reach for higher levels of performance as you strive to fulfill the mission of the YMCA in your work.
    This session features a special performance by The Dallas YMCA Town North Kickers. The Kickers have 13 members, whose average age is 75. They perform locally in the Dallas area but also were featured at the YMCA of the USA Active Older Adult Conference in 1995.
