TH31 Institutionalizing Sustainability in Architecture Firms: Growing a Green Practice

Green affects every aspect of a building’s design and more. It affects how a company acts in house and in the world. To design green, an architecture firm must be green down to its DNA. Participants in this program will learn how to create a green company culture, the green planning and design process that will produce high performance green buildings on standard budgets, and how to fulfill the responsibility green firms bear to act as green change agents in the world.

   Learning objectives:

  • Discuss ways to turn your organization’s culture green using education, in-house green policies and programs, and many outside green resources
  • Build an integrated and collaborative green planning, design, and construction process
  • Create in-house green planning and design standards
