TH17 Creating Sustainable Psychological and Physiological Designs

People are our most important resource. The concepts of Feng Shui reinforce the natural progression in the building lifecycle and in the process of life. This session addresses how to incorporate the universal principles of Feng Shui and the cycles of nature into your architecture practice to create environments that are psychologically and physiologically healthy, that provide a complete range of sensory stimuli for the occupants, and that enhance human comfort, well-being, and productivity.

   Learning objectives:

  • Identify the basic psychological and physiological effects of a space on its occupants and the impact the occupants have on the space
  • Create a psychologically sustainable design that balances the energies in a space with the human needs for specific project types
  • Describe the benefits and issues involving Feng Shui principles and environmental psychology with clients
