   LEED systems are being successfully applied to an increasing number of historic buildings. Case studies demonstrate which points and practices are most successfully achieving LEED certification. The case studies include buildings that have achieved LEED certification and historic tax credits.

   Learning objectives:

  • Describe LEED certification standards
  • Identify ways to apply green building practices to historic rehabilitation projects within the LEED framework
  • Discuss elements of sustainable design in historic preservation that are not identified by LEED and may not be quantifiable
