The Institute Honor Awards program recognizes achievements for a broad range of architectural activity in order to elevate the general quality of architecture practice, establish a standard of excellence against which all architects can measure performance, and inform the public of the breadth and value of architecture practice.
Learning objectives:
- Review elements of design resolution and advancement that demonstrate skill in formal, functional, and technical requirements, and propose new approaches to the development of architectural form
- Appraise the technological, environmental, and societal advancements that distinguish recipients as award-winning
- Translate these “best practice” advancements and elements into current practices and projects
