FR21 The Cognition of Creativity

Have you ever wondered what you and others are actually doing when being creative? Although originality and uniqueness are fundamental to creativity and innovation, do these activities include any predictable, systematic elements that allow us to understand them better? In what sort of organizational contexts do creativity and innovation flourish? With the help of interactive group activities, this seminar will answer these questions and many more.
    Learning objectives:

  • Analyze the fundamental cognitive (mental) elements of the creative process and evaluate how these elements contribute to their own creative endeavors
  • List the personal characteristics of creative people
  • Describe the organizational and social contexts that encourage and/or foil creativity and innovation
