This presentation provides an introduction to and overview of the UCEA national commissions and Communities of Practice (CoPs). the presenters will discuss each of their commission’s 2007-08 agendas and activities. Richardson and Parkes will discuss the learning, instruction, and technology Commission’s three initiatives: Blended learning; Degree Completion; and Emerging Technology. Martinez-Purson and Rosenwald will present the Leadership and Management Commission’s initiatives: Organizational Models and Strategies for Recruitment, Retention, and Morale Building. Merickel and Hansen will present the Futures and Markets Commission’s initiatives of Strategic Planning; Market Growth and Market Trends; and Telling the CE Story. The UCEA CoPs and Commissions are two important ways for members to network across institutions, the nation, and the world.
