Mark Thurlow
Development Director , The Navigators
    Mark Thurlow has led telephone fund raising for The Navigators, a Colorado non-profit ministry, for the past 15 years. During that time he has directed hundreds of successful telephone campaigns for current, lapsed and deep lapsed donors, new donor acquisition and thank-you programs. With over 20 years experience in both non-profit and for-profit direct marketing, he is a leading voice on the proper use of the telephone as a positive tool in the direct marketing toolbox.

Jack Wharfield
Director of Marketing and Development , Holt International Children's Services
    Jack Wharfield has for six years served as a member of the leadership team at Holt International Children’s Services. Holt International, the oldest and largest international adoption agency in the world, serves thousands of children and their families in over twenty countries with a variety of services that prevent children from being abandoned and unite them with families.
    The head of the Development Department at Holt International, Jack is responsible for design, organization, planning and implementation of strategy for fundraising activities. He currently manages a development staff of 11 fundraising professionals.
    Jack came to Holt with more than 20 years of proven leadership and fundraising abilities obtained at several not for profit organizations, including service as Director of Development for Willamette Valley Schools of the Catholic Archdiocese of Oregon.

Denisa Casement, CFRE BA
Account Executive , MDS Communications
    Denisa is a CFRE with over 10 years of experience in non-profit fundraising and direct marketing. She has served as Director of Development for local chapters of Habitat for Humanity and Ronald McDonald House Charities managing all aspects of their comprehensive development programs. Her nonprofit experience includes annual funds, major gifts, event management, newsletter & web communications, direct mail, telemarketing, media relations and data segmentation & analysis. Since 2005 Denisa has served as an Account Executive for MDS Communications handling a portfolio of regional and international clients. Denisa creates effective and cost efficient telephone fundraising programs for donor retention, donor renewal and donor acquisition.
