This session provides a basic introduction to group visits, including shared medical appointment models and the multiple benefits they offer to patients, physicians, and health care organizations. The respective strengths and weaknesses of these models, as well as the synergy within the traditional office practice, will also be discussed.

- Discuss the major group visit models and where they are being implemented.
- Identify the key issues involved with implementing group visits, including confidentiality, billing, promotion, and implementation.
- Describe how group visits benefit patients, providers, and health care organizations.
