Amicus, Inc.
Typically organizations have a tacit understanding with their physicians regarding the “gives” and “gets” that define the relationship. This session describes a process for re-creating the compact in which physicians expand their definition of professionalism to include leadership for care improvement and balancing personal autonomy with acting in the best interest of the whole.
After this presentation you will be able to:
- Discuss the power of a physician compact to influence behavior and an organization’s capacity to improve.
- Describe how compact dialogue can help physicians come to terms with the need to balance autonomy with behaviors that drive improved care and organizational success.
