Dr. Larry Schweikart / Tracey Kiesling
Dr. Larry Earl Schweikart was born in Mesa, Arizona. He received his B.A. in Political Science and his M.A. in History from Arizona State University and his Ph.D in History from the University of California. He has taught at Arizona State University, the University of California (Santa Barbara), the University of Wisconsin and is currently a full professor at the University of Dayton, where he has taught U.S. History, U.S. Civil War, Business, Economic History; Technology and the Culture of War. He has authored A History of Banking in Arizona (University of Arizona Press, 1982), Banking in the West: A Collection of Essays (Editor) (Sunflower University Press, 1984), Trident (with D.D. Dalgleish) (Southern Illinois University Press, 1984), Banking in the American South from the Age of Jackson to Reconstruction (Louisiana State University Press, 1987), Banking in the American West from Gold Rush to Deregulation (co-authored with Lynne Doti) (University of Oklahoma Press, 1991). Making Change: South Carolina Banking in the Twentieth Century (coauthored with John G. Sproat) (Columbia, SC, Broccoli Clark Layman, 1990) and was editor, Encyclopedia of American Business History, "Banking and Finance, to 1913." He is a regular guest on WPPT Radio, Pittsburgh, the Jerry Bowyer Show.
Along with John Keegan and Victor Hanson, he spent more than an hour in the Oval Office in August to discuss the war and other issues. He has appeared as a talking head on A&E in the production of The Rockfellers and Total Excess, has been on C-Span's BookTV, on America's Victories and has appeared on the Rush Limbaugh Show, Fox and Friends, Fox News, and the 700 Club.
Tracey Kiesling was born September 9,1955, in Waco, Texas, and was reared mostly in El Paso, Texas. She attended Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas, on a journalism scholarship and graduated in 1978 with a BA in Journalism with a double major in Animal Science. Tracey later attended Abilene Christian University to complete teacher certification. Her teaching fields include: Journalism, English, Spanish, and Bible History. She also coached basketball in public school. Tracey has over twenty years of related public school experience, including the school districts of Novice, Rochelle, and Brady, Texas, most recently at Brady High School, Brady, Texas, teaching Spanish I, II, III and Bible History. She was a 2000 nominee for Texas Excellence Award for Outstanding High School Teachers and was selected to Who's Who Among America's High School Teachers.
Presently she is a teacher trainer, staff development coordinator, spokesperson for National Council on Bible Curriculum in Public Schools. She has appeared on Focus on the Family, 700 Club/CBN News, TBN's Praise the Lord program, hosted by Chuck and Gena Norris. She is the author of Meet Me at the Well: Living Water for Thirsty Teachers, released in January 2007 .She is married to Donald Kiesling. They own and operate a trophy game ranch, Diamond K Ranch, Brady, Texas, and also farm and ranch. They have four grown children. |
