Phyllis Schlafly / Allen Quist / Rachael Wisdom

      Phyllis Schlafly is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Washington University, received her J.D. ftom Washington University Law School, and her Masters' in Political Science from Harvard University. She is the author of 20 books on subjects as varied as family and feminism, nuclear strategy, education, childcare, phonics textbooks, and the judiciary. The most recent are Feminist Fantasies and The Supemacists: The Tyranny of Judges and How to Stop It. Her monthly newsletter called The Phyllis Schlafly Report is now in its 40th year. Her syndicated column appears in 100 newspapers, her radio commentaries are heard daily on 460 stations, and her radio talk show is heard weekly on 45 stations. Mrs. Schlafly is a lawyer and served as a member of the Commission on the Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution, 1985-1991, appointed by President Reagan. She has testified before more than 50 Congressional and State Legislative committees on constitutional, national defense, and family Issues.
      Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book A Choice Not An Echo, and a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972, when she started her national volunteer pro-family organization called Eagle Forum. In a ten-year battle, Mrs. Schlafly led the pro-family movement to victory over the principal legislative goal of the radical feminists, called the Equal Rights Amendment. She was named one of the 100 most important women of the 20th century by the Ladies' Home Journal. The mother of six children, she was the 1992 Illinois Mother of the Year.

      Professor Allen Quist holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Gustavus Adolphus College (St. Peter, MN) and a Master of Arts degree from Mankato State University (Mankato, MN). He is a professor of American Government at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota and a widely recognized writer and speaker. He is author of five books, the most recent being America's Schools: The Battleground for Freedom. Quist authored the best-selling book, Fed Ed: The New Federal Curriculum and How It's Enforced, which is in its third printing.
      Allen served three terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1983 to 1988. He chaired the Social Services Subcommittee and was a member of the House Education Committee, where he authored bills on Jobs and Training and received numerous legislative awards. Rep. Quist played an influential role in legalizing home schools in Minnesota. He was the Republican endorsed candidate for Minnesota Governor in 1994, and was one of seven delegates elected from Minnesota to the White House Conference on Families in 1980. He and his wife, Julie, have ten children.

      Rachael Wisdom is a senior at Westminster Christian Academy, St. Louis, Missouri, where she is an honor student. She is president of the Latin Club, and participates in the Drama Club and is a leader of the Spirit Club. She has applied to several nationally top-ranked universities, has been accepted at some and hopes to make her decision soon. She looks forward to going on to law school following her undergraduate work. She loves to write, to travel and is an engaging photographer. She lives with her parents in St. Louis.
